Amazon’s New FBM Handling Time Rule Is Live: Here’s What to Fix First
Amazon’s latest handling time requirement is now active, and seller-fulfilled businesses need to pay attention. Starting June 29, 2026, Amazon began requiring FBM sellers to keep the handling time assigned to each SKU aligned with how quickly that product actually ships. Setting a longer handling time “just to be safe” may now result in Amazon flagging or adjusting that SKU. What Changed? Handling time is the period between receiving an order and handing the package to the carrier. Amazon now monitors whether your actual shipping behavior matches the handling time shown on your listings. Sellers have two main options: Enable Automated Handling Time.
